She is all in one – a doting mother of two beautiful daughters, a passionate home-baker who\u2019s turned a busy entrepreneur who not only initiated a culinary institute of her own but kick-started a supermarket too –\u00a0 Meet Sandhya Kini Mayenkar, who has spread her wings from Karnataka to Goa to Delhi to all over India & Internationally ,Her passion for food and cooking led her to start\u00a0 SKM Institute of Culinary Arts where she began teaching her art for food to others. She saw that there were many women like her who wanted to stay at home to look after the family and children but also had the strong urge to use their full potential and their skills to earn an income to support their families.<\/p>\n
This has been her effort for past 5 years and she shall continue to do so in a long run. Currently she has been conducting various courses for the past five years and streamlined around 70 different courses she has trained more than 4000+ students. She is also traveling in and around Goa giving classes and\u00a0 to train rural women in self help groups into such skills that they can take up various orders from home. The SKM is now become a family of around 4000 plus Many of my students have started commercial ventures from their homes.<\/p>\n
Even though she doesn\u2019t have any formal degree in hand, she has been training many women with these skills in the past five years. She says WHAT HAS TAUGHT ME IN THESE FIVE YEARS IS SELF CONFIDENCE FOR MY SELF AND ALSO TO BOOST THE MORAL SUPPORT OF THE OTHER 4000+ WOMEN TO RISE OUT OF THEIR HOUSEHOLDS AND COME UP IN LIFE . .\u00a0 THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE IS TRUE EMPOWERMENT.<\/p>\n
The second major achievement in Life Two years ago came when she stepped out into Business. A long pending dream of her father B Ravindra Kini hailing from Bailur, kundapur who is a successful businessman himself in Goa past 40years.\u00a0 . With her father\u2019s total support and guidance she ventured into Supermarket business and opened up a 2500sqft superstore. Since then there has been no stop. Each day is a learning experience by itself. From being a fresher into this line to climbing up the success ladder to becoming one of the highest rated supermarket in Panjim we have managed to create a niche in the hearts of our customers within these two years, as well as creating employment opportunities to local youngsters in these areas.<\/p>\n
